Snowbird Top Lodge was built by the legendary Bull West in 1978.
The mountain VIEWS and surrounding property will not disappoint, nor will the quality of the building materials utilized in the construction of this fine retreat home.
Amazing fishing and hunting. This property is adjacent to over 3000 acres which is held privately in an outdoorman's club called The Snowbird Angler's Club. The annual membership allows access to superb native trout fly fishing, rainbow trout lake fishing, hunting, etc.
Located 2.5 hours west of Asheville, North Carolina and about 2 hours from the Atlanta beltway.
This fully furnished lodge is perched on 3+ acres of Snowbird Top Mountain and accessible by 4-wheel drive. A 20-acre common area is adjacent to property which includes a small mountain lake that is teeming with frogs, kingfishers, etc.
Beautiful views can be seen from every window.
This mountain retreat lodge can sleep eight+ as it has three bedrooms, a third-level loft with beds, and a "man-cave" type room off the front hallway. The perfect mountain "get-away" for you and your friends!
The eat-in kitchen is spacious and complete with dishes, appliances, pans, table/chairs, etc. And no, it does not have granite counter tops but it does have occasional views of wild boar, deer, turkey, etc. slipping thru the grounds looking for their breakfast.
The living room is huge and features a massive fireplace and comfortable furniture.
The majority of the siding is new and was carefully installed in the same fashion as the Cantrell Creek Lodge that was built by George Vanderbilt, which can still be visited at the NC Cradle of Forestry.
Solid woods of ash, cherry, and wormy chestnut have been used through-out the lodge to provide beauty and easy care.
At an elevation of 3800 feet, the twinkling lights of the nearest town, Andrews, NC can be seen in the valley below.
